This VIDEO explains how to dispose of Glacier Ice™ Gel Packs. Cryo Ice™ has the same disposal instructions.

GLACIER ICE DISPOSAL VIDEO

Recycle

First, cut the corner of the pouch and pour the gel into the trash. Next, rinse and dry the the plastic pouch, then recycle it like any other plastic bag. Since Cryo Ice™ gel is mostly water, it will significantly dehydrate if landfilled.

Note that while Cryo Ice™ gel is non-toxic, it is not drain-safe and may cause a clog if poured down the drain. If that happens, put some kitchen salt on the gel to help loosen and drain off.

Discard

Place the whole gel pack into the trash.

Reuse

Rinse, clean and store Cryo Ice™ gel packs in the freezer and use them in coolers to keep perishables frozen.

The content of our gel packs is nontoxic and should not be harmful if ingested in small quantities by your child or pet. However if you have any concerns, we recommend you contact your doctor, veterinarian or local poison control center (1-800-222-1222) immediately.

No. Gel packs you receive in shipments are specially formulated for commercial use, and stay cold too long for safe application to the body. Cryo Ice™ is too cold for prolonged contact with the skin. Please talk to your doctor or practitioner about our line of physical therapy products, which are the best choice for both cold and hot therapeutic treatments at home.

The exact recipe is proprietary. But the non-toxic gel is made of more than 80% water.
